Preventing specific downloads of selected files

Hi there... I am a newbie.

I am trying to download a project which contains multiple pieces. I already have some of the pieces so to save time and space, I don't want to download them again.

I have tried flagging the files as "Do not download" but they still are.

Is there a way to prevent these pieces from being downloaded?ussf

I have attached part of a screen grab. You can see that in spite of some of the files being marked as "Do Not Download" the status bar indicates that it is in fact downloading.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Hi

Did you added the torrent in paused state first? I'm not doing it on a regular basis but use to add the .torrent in paused state, make the selection, then start it. So far I remember the excluded pieces are not part of the download.

PS: I guess you"re on the last build, 1.3.15?

To add to the above, any pieces that were in the process of downloading when the files were marked will complete, but no new pieces will start. Also, the first and last piece of a file may be downloaded if they overlap with other files you are downloading.

I, too, experience this defect, even when starting in paused state.
Installed version: 1.3.15 on Win 10 64-bit OS
libtorrent: deluge-1.3.15-py2.7
