ThinClient not finding Deluge from other wifi network

Post by Rotaboz »

So everything works fine when I use the ThinClient on my desktop at home which is connected to the same wifi-network as my deluge-box. The thing is that I can't seem to connect when I'm accessing from another network. For example, when I'm at my girlfriends house, my laptop can't find anything nor won't my desktop find anything when I go on tethering on my smartphone.

Is this an issue with Deluge settings or is this a problem with my wifi-settings or firewall. I found a command on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De ... low_remote

Code: Select all

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 58846 -j ACCEPT
Would this do the job? Or is this something else? (Asking because I'm getting tired of reinstalling after f*cking up :p )

From that same page:
Users behind a NAT router/firewall must forward the port to access the daemon from outside the network if this behavior is desired.
