I have actually managed to stabilise the daemon now for the past 24 hours. I only post this as it may help somebody else coming across the same issue.
I actually removed some torrents from trackers that I had not used before. I don't possibly know what issues those trackers could have caused, but once they were removed the daemon has been completely stable since. Hope this little update helps somebody in the future.
Download halts with seeds - required daemon restart
Re: Download halts with seeds - required daemon restart
Well, I ended up following an excellent tutorial that I found through google on how to set up the 1.3.6 daemon - http://joerpi.blogspot.com.au/2013/06/r ... mba_6.html. Make sure you follow the tutorial all the way through, as I got caught stopping half way and thinking I had another issue.
Also, as at today (about 1800) I have successfully downloaded two torrents, with no sign *cross fingers* of the original issue that seemed to be plaguing me. I will continue to monitor over the next week or so and get back to the folder with my findings.
The only unfortunate thing about this whole experience is that I couldn't actually pin down anything that was 'wrong' with the initial install of Deluge 1.3.3. I've followed basically the same steps every time --- Install Raspbian, Install Samba, Install Flexget, a small interlude with Transmission which proved to end badly (thanks to Spadge, I should have listened to you), and then Installed 1.3.6 instead of installing 1.3.3. The only thing different is that I didn't follow this tutorial http://www.howtogeek.com/142044/how-to- ... rrent-box/ which was mixed with this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... IUgQEKxjNU.
In the end it was probably user error causing the problems, not the installs, so I'll chalk it up to 'learning experience' and be done with it for the moment.
Cheers for all the help!
