[Bug] Selecting torrent parts

Post by mayB »

Imagine a torrent with total size of 50gb with several mkv files on it.

If I just select one or two of this mkv files to be downloaded when I add the torrent, a lot of others that I didn't select will wound up in the folder too, even though they are not 100% complete, some of them might have a couple MB downloaded, some others more, but since I didn't select them they shouldn't even appear in the folder.

Right, but I don't see it happening in other torrent clients such as utorrent and qbittorrent.

Won't it ever be fixed in deluge?

Yes the files are just hidden by those clients and I know qbittorrent's implementation is not simple even though it also uses libtorrent. I have tried a basic implementation in Deluge code which mostly worked but was quite messy and slow so I think we will only add it once libtorrent has the option.
