High CPU usage on 1.3.0_rc1

Hi,

Since upgrade to 1.3.0_RC1, I notice my CPU is always on the high. Sometimes the webui will lost connection due to this.

I am using ubuntu 10.04 self compiled deluge with libtorrent-rasterbar-0.15.0.

I killed deluge-web process and then run using the conventional method :

Seems to be better as load of deluge seems low now.

I just checked the current status of my system and load seems t o be on the high side.

Again, deluge (deluge-web) is taking up more CPU than it should

I am using Atom 330 which is 1.6GHz dual core processor. Before this, i was lower CPU usage. I am now not even loading any web ui from browser currently. Why is there load anyway for a frontend which is not being loaded?

It happened again. CPU load is maxed out again. I had to again kill deluge process and then start it again.

I have the same problem as you abubin, my CPU usage is also maxed out when deluged is running.

I have installed deluge on my Asrock Nettop ION (Atom 330 cpu) and Ubuntu desktop 10.04 + Deluge 1.3.0_rc1

btw im new here and new to deluge and ubuntu

Hope someone got an idea what is wrong.

Since no response since I posted the question, I have downgraded back to 1.2.3. So far been running for few hours already and CPU load for deluge barely go above 5%.

Same CPU, same problem. deluge maxes out one core, deluged takes over the other.

The desktop I use is x86_64. However, I also used deluged on a Intel Atom box, on a x86 system. On both configurations the CPU usage of deluged has improved with version 1.3.0_r2. I run deluge-gtk only on the x86_64 desktop, and the rc2 version still maxes out a single core when downloads start.

I am not to understand, it works fine. but suddenly starts to load my CPU to 100%. It can work fine all day, but then again load my CPU to 100%. I have amd64 X2 (two core), deluge load to 100% one core my CPU. I not have external plugins. Ideas?

It seems that the problem manifests on on AMD and Intel Atom CPUs, anyone experiencing it on a Intel Core machine?
