Does mail notification work in remote?

I connect to remote deluged daemon with deluge GtkUI.
I have activated the notification by email (in Preferences window) but it seems not work.
Does mail notification work from remote GTKui?

Works from my remote GTK with gmail smtp server. It is likely to be a mail settings problem.

Actually i have just found a bug where if the remote GTK client is disconnected it does not send an email.

I have created a ticket: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/1167

It's fixed in Deluge 1.3 RC1.
