slow upload speeds

I am new to Deluge, but enjoying the application very much. I changed from Ktorrent. I am having difficulty getting any upload speed. It runs around 10kpbs and I am used to from 60 to 90 kbps. It is taking forever to return my upload share. I operate Kubuntu Jaunty KDE 4.2.2 have an AMD quad with less than 25% of the processors being used and currently 4gb of memory. I am not downloading anything right now and only get 10kbps upload. My drives are sata with ext4 file system. Internally I transfer data from 90 to 160mbps, so I should be able to meet the maximum demands of my DSL line. I have the files set to upload at -1 which is suggested as an open pipe. Each of my uploads has plenty of seeds and leachers. Normal download speeds for me are about 322kbps and uploads about 60kbps, but it runs higher than 60 if I am not downloading. The faster the download the better for me, so I suspect others would like more from me if they can get it. I am willing, just tell me how. Thanks!
