Export Deluge

Hi,

I am currently using Deluge 1.10RC2 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron.

I am using a new PC with Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex, and would like to export my Deluge torrent list (and settings, if possible) effortlessly to the new system, but do not know how to.

Can you please help? Thanks a lot.

Just copy your ~/.config/deluge folder to your new computer.

Say, if I have TWO sets of Deluge to export to that new PC, how can I combine the 2 Deluge folders into one, without them deleting each other - assuming they will?

No, you cannot do that..

oh my, how about if I import one set into the new system first, then "export" it to a file, remove all the torrents, import the next set, and export this second set, remove this second set of torrents, then re-import both sets as one, or something like it?

This is now my most desired feature - import and export of torrents!

If you want to get all torrents from two locations, only copy the state folder from the subsequent deluge folders you're copying. For example:

Folder 1: copy in its entirety to ~/.config/deluge
Folder 2: only copy state/ to ~/.config/deluge/state

If it's about settings... Well, merging settings is impossible and a bit strange anyway.

that won't work as you can't merge torrent.state files.

I was thinking about creating a "backup" plugin (hopefully for 1.2) which would be able to do that.
