Downloads stuck at 99%

Restarting deluged and deluge didn't help... Very nice program, but this is so annoying Using Ubuntu 8.1

Hey, yeah i'm getting the same problem.

Ubuntu 8.10

"uname -a" output:
Linux myname-intrepid 2.6.27-9-generic #1 SMP Thu Nov 20 22:15:32 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Deluge 0.5.9.3 (Can't update since later versions are banned by some priv. trackers).

This is not the same as the usual 99% problem, cos i'm still connected to about 20 seeds - it's unlikely that the last few pieces are unavailable!

Doubt there's any useful advice to be gained, apart from update to a later version, but if there is something I can do, it'd be most appreciated

I concluded the problem is in seeds themselves... Sometimes the seeds just can't finish because seeders have broken their data. But still, it is strange to me because they cannot be counted as seeds than... Seems like their clients are not doing regular hash checks and telling the tracker that the seeds are ok, but they are not...

This has recently been discussed here:

The answer given there was to upgrade to a later version.

If that's not possible, like it's not for me, i learnt from reading this article on the Azureus Wiki which mentions

"Anti-leech protection may be working to ensure that you share your file with others. Azureus does not do this, but some other BitTorrent clients do." - I wondered if Deluge could do this?

I paused all the torrents that were stuck at 99% (about 5 of 6 i'd downloaded) and waited a while, then disabled the upload limit and resumed them, and they finished instantaneously. Not entirely sure which of those solved the problem, but for any others out there it's worth a shot!

I am have the same problem.
At just over 99% one or more files does not complete. On every single Torrent (It might be a subset but I cannot confirm at this stage every Torrent)
This problem started for me on 6 Dec 2018
I removed my trackers and Forced Re-Check.
The File completed, but interestingly the trackers did not come back. But at least it finished.
I just do not know if this is a good process or if I am causing a different issue by removing the trackers.
Surely there is a better fix. I is like something has changed recently, because this problem occured back in 2008-2011, weird that it is back.

The only other thing I can think of is my hard drive is near full, but if I add another torrent it will DL happily until 99%, because I do have some space left.
