here is something that just pops up with 0.5.7.1-2 version of windows deluge

It's like some sort of popup message. And it's definitely bound to deluge because it goes away when I close deluge.

Already been reported in the forum, http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... f=12&t=843

Thanks for posting a better picture of the problem though.

And a way to avoid those 'fake windows/gray boxes' I found is to just use the close button, with the setting to minimize to task bar. It won't make them go away if they are already there, but as a preventative measure it works.

i already tried that and it doesn't go away. The only way to get rid of it is to close deluge totally.

BTW, what are those "fake" boxes anyway?

Yeah, I know it doesn't make them go away, thats why I said as a preventive measure, it won't make them go away, but it will keep them from appearing... if they are not already there.

I read on the compiling website that those boxes are actually dropdown boxes, they appear when it's minimized for some reason.

How about these images, theres 2 different types of 'windows' going on in these pictures...
Oh, it's Windows Vista x64 Ultimate, in case it matters.

This second one actually shows preference windows that have already been closed.

It is not running, errors out with the error message about microsoft visual c++ runtime library, has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

<edit>needed a complete fresh install, deleted all files in install directory and the saved preferences. checking functionality now...</edit>

Looks like it is working as expected now. No more strange windows appearing, or gray boxes. Much thanks!
