ERROR on file at startup

If I restart Deluge after a day or so, most of my downloads say ERROR in the Progress column. Sometimes when I click recheck the download starts, other times it states "CHECKING then some percentage.

I do not understand what is happening. I am a newbie and apologize if this has an obvious answer.

hi,

Enable the debug log to have a better idea of the issue (see the support section for how to). I faced such issue on Linux system at reboot, mainly because the disk where the torrents reside is not yet ready but this is unrelated if you are under Windows of course. The log should tell more

what your setup? Windows box with Deluge writting on the local disk or client/server setup? (remote daemon)
