Deluge frezing on adding new connection

I have started to have this problem with my deluge client ass I go to add a connection to my seed box after I add all the information and click add deluge will become unresponsive I can move the connection manager around the screen but no buttons will work and I have to force stop it. I have reinstalled it twice and that did not help when I went to a previous version I got the error "Error adding host unterminated string at: line 8 column 7 (char 145)" but could not find anything that helped me fix it.

Sounds like something became corrupt in one of your settings files. It could possibly be the settings file for the connection manager part. Try closing deluge and then renaming your .deluge folder. This will reset all settings to their default and see if that fixes your issues. If it does you can either leave it how it is or manually poke at the backup of your old config you just renamed to try and get it working again.

Reinstalling deluge does not delete the config folder and retains any old settings you had.
