Hello i'm a new user coming from Utorrent. I installed the client a week or so ago and has been downloading some torrents. However there are problems. On Utorrent you can turn on searching for local peers and so on, but here i can't. And so on a torrent with around 2000 and over seeders and peers i get only 15 seeders and 2 peers nothing more. Can anyone tell me why is that? So pretty much right now i can't download anything at least for 2 or 4 hours normally a torrent file with a size between 2-4 GB would take 10-20 minutes is being downloaded already hour and a half and is only on 33 %.

I'm using the latest version of Deluge.

Under Preferences -> Network there are optons for peer exchange and DHT that can be enabled. However, with over 2000 seeds you should be able to connect to more people even without those. Do you have the port forwarded correctly through your firewall and / or router? If you click the "Test Active Port" button on that network page do you get a check mark or a warning symbol?

I actually have turned off DHT And Peer exchange, because of i'm using the client on a private tracker. And also my question was regarding a one torrent DHT and Peer exhcange settings so that i can actually use them only on specific torrents or websites.
Also about the ports. I'm using a random ports option which exludes from adding it to the firewall.

You will do much better if you can get the port forwarded correctly. I had similar issues for a while.

UPnP might work for you, but it is also a bit of a security issue so manually setting a port will be better for you.

Well for now port forwarding is not really an option, my isp has decided to just close the website which i can add ports for unknown time. so is there any other solution.

One of the side effects of using a proxy (or VPN) with Deluge is that port forwards have no meaning and are unnecessary. You could use a proxy to get around your problem.

Well thank you for the suggestion, i may look into it. I guess for my problem there isn't a simple solution or even an option for what i need.
