Need advice on Encrypting Traffic

I don't have any money for a VPN at this moment and have never had any problem up till a few months ago.
Do I really need a VPN ? or can I get by with some tweaked settings ?.

Hi,
How high is the investigation level in your country? Taking the example of France you better have one you don't want to expose to penalty.
The VPN/seedbox is almost mandatory in this case, even if you can leech/seed for a long time and never face the authority.
The settings inside Deluge does not guarantee any safety at this level so far I know.
