Hi.
I've just finished reinstalling my server, and is looking for a new torrent client.
It has to be able to run without a xserver since I have no graphical enviroment installed.
Is it possible to make Deluge work without X installed via the WebUI or some other kind of remote management?
In the past I have been using TorrentFlux, but it would be nice to choose from more than one client when running a server environment.
Therefore it could be a great feature for any future releases of Deluge and make it appeal to many more
Best regards
Stefan
Does Deluge work without X?
Re: Does Deluge work without X?
Currently deluge can't run without X but I think this is planned for version 0.6
in the meantime you could check out rTorrent, it's built on the same backend as deluge (libtorrent) and is a text-based client.

Re: Does Deluge work without X?
Thanks for your reply.
I'm currently looking at rtorrent.
While waiting on release 0.6 of Deluge i'll use the screen application on my server
and login remotely via putty on my workstation. Not a lasting solution, but I find it useable
Unless it can be done in an other way?
I'll return when Deluge 0.6 is due to be released!
