From a technical perspective how feasible is it for ISP's to monitor which torrents we download?
How can it be legal for ISP's to in effect "open every envelope" in the post office metaphor.
And also it would be a massive undertaking for each ISP to rate every torrent on whether it is legal or not or would they just assume all torrents are illegal and leave the user to fight his case claiming the legality of the torrent, should someone who downloaded some kind of "creative commons porn" ( that probably doesnt exist), Have to argue his case in public for something which was completely legal.
This would be very costly for ISPs will it be subsidised? If so, by whom, record companys? distributors? or tax payers?
