Re: Remove Mac as supported paltform

Unfortunately, Cas, zachtib started that work a year go and there hasn't been much progress for quite some time. Comedian, we're not complaining about there not being native support for Mac for Deluge, period. We're complaining that OS X is a "supported platform" except there is not a nati...

If it hasn't come by now, I'm not hopeful it will ever come. The devs are no help. I've talked with them and they have no interest. This is like waiting for Duke Nukem Forever, except it's actually going to be released.

Releasing a product not installable by 95%+ of a platform's users does not constitute "support." It's closer to "works experimentally...sometimes...for some users...and it's not in your native window manager."

Re: Remove Mac as supported paltform

I've got to agree with the sentiments in this thread. Mac is not a "supported" platform. Supported usually equals native app. When there's a dmg I can download and use to install, then you can say Mac is supported. When there is a package you can compile from source, why don't you just say...

Re: Deluge.app - Native OS X Deluge Client

I haven't given up hope either. I would nearly kill for a native Cocoa version of Deluge. Please bring it guys!

Re: Deluge.app - Native OS X Deluge Client

For those of you expressing support, I would recommend going on the Deluge IRC channel and expressing your support and willingness to help. It is irc.freenode.net #deluge. They're pretty helpful, jrabbit in particular. A large part of the problem from my talks with them is that they don't have a Mac...

Re: Deluge.app - Native OS X Deluge Client

I would be ecstatic if this got off the ground. I love Deluge and Mac OS X needs a great client. Transmission doesn't hack it. Seriously, the Deluge developers are in a great position to become the go-to client for Mac OS X.

What's the status? Is 1.2.1 coming any time soon?

Re: Make dmg

There isn't a huge following for this program on Mac because it's a huge pain to install on OS X. Release a native Mac version and see how it takes off. I, too, would kill for a native Mac version. This is ridiculous to install unless you have coding experience, which I don't. Agreed on every point...

Yeah, 1.1.5 isn't whitelisted on most private trackers, too. I need 1.1.7 or 1.1.8. I miss it. I'm about to just install Ubuntu on Fusion and virtualize Deluge.

1.1.8 source?

Would this work if we used the 1.1.8 source tarball? Any chance we can get this updated for 1.1.8?

Thanks in advance.
