Re: Agressiveness of deluge a myth?

I lately learned that deluge only connects to the first tracker on multi-tracker torrents, if not errored out, as is following spec and is libtorrent default, but many clients, e.g. utorrent and qbittorrent etc, by default doesn't respect this, so that is atleast a place where deluge isn't more &quo...

Re: [Plugin] LabelPlus v0.3.2.2

i do have a small issue though - when adding torrents through magnet/hash the autolabel won't assign the requested labels automatically (when using the "any file"), but will do so correctly via the "apply to existing torrents". Yeah, magnet/hash torrents are added right away to ...

Re: Upgrade to a 250/50 fibre optic connection

Also note, it's Mbps, not MBps, so divide your mbps with 8 to get download-max-rate in MB ;) Sometimes some ISPs change alittle in speed e.g. mine is 150mbps, but speedchecks from 40 to 140mbps depending. Not capped or anything either. Check out a popular linux distro, like ubuntu or mint etc, to ch...

Re: Deluge 1.3.12 / libtorrent 1.1.0.0 Error

@Cas, polite bump of previous question :) Does it to you sound like the incompatibilities should be fixed from the posted changelog of libtorrent v1.1.1?

Re: Broke my deluge profile

Good call Shryp, that's probably it, as arch by default installs latest libtorrent unless blacklisted, instead of recommended v1.0.9. If you don't have the old v1.0.9 in your cache, then pm me and ill send it to you(x86_64 only)... Though, arch added v1.1.1 yesterday or something and that was suppos...

Re: How to configure Deluge to only torrent when connected to a VPN?

Yes, for strictly killswitch functionality, then binding to VPN IP through deluge prefs should be OK. However, the scripts and iptables are adding functionality of restarting deluge and the VPN when the VPN goes down and you can direct only deluge to use the VPN if wanted and use regular connection ...

Re: How to configure Deluge to only torrent when connected to a VPN?

There are multiple ways e.g. referenced here: http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=49883 In the prefs of deluge, you can bind an IP, not an interface. I don't know if it's 100% working by using the IP of your VPN, but in theory it should I believe, but never had a need to verify i...

Re: Agressiveness of deluge a myth?

Thanks for your reply and yes I know the plugin. Still the question remains about if the supposed agressiveness of deluge(by default) is a myth or not ;) Btw, I read a ticket on the libtorrent tracker where one wanted to get the re-announce to tracker lowered from 30 mins to something lower and arvi...

Cas stated recently that libtorrent v1.1.1(just released) will probably support deluge v1.3.x, btw.

Agressiveness of deluge a myth?

Ive read countless times on forums/reddit etc that deluge has very agressive peering/seeding/uploading whatever, and that it consistently gives better ratios on private trackers. I'm personally suspecting this is BS, but would love to get an opinion of this from the devs or others in the know. I rea...
