yeah, we're going to work on implementing this, and it should make the 0.5.1 stable release.

I'll try it out on a gutsy VM once I get home, but you should also try asking on ubuntuforums to see if they know what's been changed in gutsy that could be causing this.

Are you maybe still running an instance of Deluge in the background? or libtorrent?
