Re: Error after checking torrent for sharing at empty files
A temporary file needs to be written hence you read only issue I guess. May you not change your permission on the share to add execute at least? R-W-X at best of course

Re: Incoming ports are always out of range
Your setup seems fine for me, you can even reduce the ports range. Deluge will always use only one port, the range is useful if any other process is already using it. Then Deluge will simply try the next one. About the IPv6 yes it's normal, you can get rid of it by disabling the IPv6 on the RPI. If ...

Re: Any way to reduce memory when using Deluge
Thx for the details, it highlights ho your setup is made and all above make sense.
As is seems not solved since long time the Webui left opened is a -not so good- possible alternative right now or the GTK restart of course.
PS: I guess no specific plugins enabled?

Re: Any way to reduce memory when using Deluge
(drop if not relevant, I'm travelling so read it too fast maybe ) Deluge can run as a systemd unit (client-server architecture) so you don't have to let the GTK opened. This is what I do most of the time and realize it's maybe not your case: Deluged as a systemd unit with the GTK connecting locally o...

Re: A stop job is running for bittorrent client daemon
There is more about the way a systemd unit is stopped, consider ExecStop, SIGTERM, SIGKILL and the same for process created. In any way here is doesn't mean you will be stuck 5 min on this unit, never happened to me at least. It's a maximum

Re: A stop job is running for bittorrent client daemon
You can find the default settings of the systemd unit here https://deluge.readthedocs.io/en/latest/how-to/systemd-service.html This settings sets the maximum amount of time the OS wait prior killing the process if a reboot or shutdown is requested. It doesn't take that long most of the time but the ...

Re: deluge lose torrents
"Because" is the only answer I can give with such info .
Please check the wiki and enable the verbose mode to give us more info. The files were not yet D/L right, queued to be so?

Re: Any way to reduce memory when using Deluge
There are two part that can be split about the memory and influence you have on it: The OS cache and the Libtorrent cache. From my experience the Libtorrent cache tends to cache torrent chunks and has no need to be big. It depends for the device capacities of course but with a 8GB machine for exampl...

Re: Any way to reduce memory when using Deluge
Hi,
Their are settings that can help but may reduce the seeding capacity too. On a regular computer the caching of the OS tends to "eat" all the memory, certainly with a Bitorrent client.
You can find some hints with the ltconfig plugin and the built-in profile "low memory".
