In my test cases if I force recheck on a new torrent it will check, shows downloading for half a second, scrapes the tracker and then pauses again.

Could this be a libtorrent issue and not a deluge issue? I upgraded my libtorrent.

Hmm, I switched from uTorrent to Deluge 1.3.11 on Windows 7 and didn't run into issues. I have my default save path set to F:\ and most of the stuff I transferred into Deluge I set the save path to H:\Folder\file.mkv and forced a recheck and it found the data just fine.

It works for me. I am betting your issue has something to do with the error status.

Does windows 8 still allow you to right click on something and choose the default program for opening?

I think each folder in the tree needs the permissions, not just the final folder.

You could try the labelplus plugin. That will let your control all those settings as a sub global setting for anything in the same label.
