Re: Unofficial Deluge 2 for Windows 7

Hey @mhertz

Again, thank you for your contribution! I do appreciate it.

Sorry that I am not very active in the forum, but I'll read through your post and get some more knowledge about pip and python and what not.
Cheers

Re: Unofficial Deluge 2 for Windows 7

@mhertz: Thank you for adding you thoughts. I totally forgot about those display issues, since I'm using my own settings.ini and theme. The optical drive error bugged me for a while, never figured out why Windows did that too. Anyway, I consider this a work in progress, a living thing if you will. L...

Unofficial Deluge 2 for Windows 7 + 10

Since Python 3.9 doesn't support Windows 7 anymore and mhertz stopped with his Windows 7 builds, I decided to set up a VM for my own needs and build a current version of Deluge. Also started a Windows 10 build until @petersasi resumes with his builds. I do use the stable version myself, so I would c...

Hi Modgedd,

that happenes to me usually after a distribution upgrade.
You can also use a combined command:

Code: Select all

apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys C5E6A5ED249AD24C

Re: Unofficial Deluge 2.0.x for Windows installer

Hey mhertz! Thank you for keeping the builds up to date recently 8-) I just want to add that support for Windows 7 was removed in Python 3.9, so I'm unable to run any of your builds. I know, I know, it's not supported, EOL etc. Anyway, since you uploaded your installation routine on GitHub I fiddled...

Re: Russian language in Deluge 2

I tested this on Debian 10 and Deluge is working with Russian. But the translation needs some serious work:

Not sure how to move on from here, you either could file a bug report or contribute to the translation yourself.

Re: suddenly Deluge works only with Python3 and is extremely slow - A very interesting problem!!

Hey DelugeFan libtorrent has no dependency to a specific Python version, it should work with 2.x and 3.x I do have Deluge 2 installed on Debian 10 with Python 2.7 and 3.7 and it is running fine. You can see what Python versions you have installed with these commands: apt-cache policy python2 apt-cac...

Just a thought: are you updating from an older build with Python 2? If so, try to delete the cached plugins in %localappdata%\Python-Eggs and see if that fixes it.

Re: Unofficial Deluge 2.0.x for Windows installer

Hi petersasi! Thank you for continuing this build and creating a new thread 8-) I just installed your most recent version from 18th september and noticed some missing icons. Usually I remove the "data\etc\gtk-3.0\settings.ini", use one placed inside "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\gtk-3....

Re: Microsoft App?

Are you talking about this one? It looks a bit weired and it also costs money. What are you reporting it for?
