Re: Can't continie d/l in Ubuntu
Thanks! I needed to change the ownership and permissions. It was a bit tricky as the file is in a folder whose name contained spaces and parentheses like Abcd Xyz (2007-12-28). Just didn't know how to get into the folder in Terminal. Finally copied the file out through the the Shared folders via Win...

Can't continie d/l in Ubuntu
I'm running Deluge in both WinXP and Ubuntu 7.10 (both the latest versions). When I tried to continue a download which was started in WinXP in Ubuntu, I received a write error that says it can't open the file. Deluge hash checks the file OK, but when the status changes from "checking" to &...

Re: Problem with Ports...
>>markybob
The relevant port has been forwarded in the router. My Wan IP (dynamic) is never in the 72.x.x.x range, it's always been either in 188.x.x.x., 218.x.x.x., or 219.x.x.x. and is so reported in the router's status.
Hmmm, p.s., it's testing through the deluge web browser??

Re: Problem with Ports...
With the latest versions, whenever I clicked the "test active port" button, it returns a message that the port xxxx is closed at 72.x.x.x. Did I miss something here?

Re: crash on 0.5.6.96
I did the experiment. Copied the file into the deluge directory. Didn't seem to work. Deluge still uses the one in the \windows32 directory, and of course the error message appears after a couple of hours. Funny thing is that as long as I ignore the error message and do not click on any of the optio...

Re: crash on 0.5.6.96
I wonder if it is a good idea to copy a different version of mscvrt.dll into the deluge directory? I have a copy in one of my other program folders which is an earlier version --- 6.1.9844.0. Would deluge use this version rather than the one in windows\system32 [7.0.2600.2180]?

Half-open connections
I understand that Win XP has a half-open connection limit of 8. Would increasing the limit with a program like xp-antispy and increasing the limit in Deluge cause it to be unstable resulting in frequent crashes?

Re: Strange behaviour - ISP related or bug?
I came in late in the game ... started with 0.5.6.2 ... encountered the port closing/opening problem ... someone suggested going back to 0.5.6.1 ... but problem persisted ... tried all the latest releases up to 0.5.7 .... problem still there, plus the latest versions proved much too unstable for me....

Re: crash on 0.5.6.96
just when you think you are safe, Deluge crashed several times in the last few minutes :(. It has been stable more than three hours. Decided to reboot the pc -- crash might have destabilized windows xp, esp when i had to kill the daemon-deluge process manually. Yes, it usually crashed overnight. Goi...
