I have managed to fix the problem by rolling back. I am certainly not an expert but I will post my instructions here and you can follow them if you need to. 1. Edit: Tried, downgraded backward to 1.1.6. Still not working... :S I downgraded to 1.1.6 and it's working ok. How I did: Via synaptic or apt-get, removed deluge, deluge-core and deluge-common After this, via terminal i did a "sudo apt-get autoremove" - this will remove the dependent libs ...

Exactly same problem here with 1.1.8.
Maybe the problem is related with the getdeb package.
