@juje80: uninstall deluge 0.5.8.8 and install 0.5.8.7. the current configuration should "survive" it. to minimize the risk of loosing donwload and rations you can back up the configuration-folder which is located in HOME/.config/deluge (hidden directory) Thankz...i'll give a shot and then...

does anybody know how can i downgrade me deluge 5.8.8 to the 5.8.7 on ubuntu gusty without risking my current downloads? that would be a good temporary solution to this startup crash problem on 5.8.8
