Thanks! That fixed it for me. Don't know why that bug report didn't show up in my searches on the error.
Any idea if the problem is with Deluge or Twisted? Someone in the bug report suggests Deluge is probably causing the problem.

deluge 1.3.6 won't import blocklist
I'm running Deluge 1.3.6 on a Manjaro system. It won't import a blocklist that I know works (I can download it fine directly in my browser). Deluge just gets stuck at "Downloading 0.00%." The blocklist is: http://www.bluetack.co.uk/config/level1.gz When I run Deluge from a terminal, I get ...

Deluge Freezes When Running Overnight
I've consistently had the experience with Deluge that it freezes when left running overnight. It works fine for hours, but if I leave it running overnight I always find in the morning that all the torrent downloads have stopped, just frozen with download statistics appearing but not changing (and I ...

Which blocklist to use? Most up to date?
What blocklists do people suggest using (and what are the urls for them)? I see various posts on this here that seem more and less old. So I don't know if they're still relevant. It is also not clear to me how up to date the blocklists are suggested in the deluge FAQ. Thanks for any clearer informat...

Where does Deluge store the .torrent files?
I'm using Deluge on a Debian Testing system. Where does Deluge store the .torrent files, when I'm downloading something? Also when I click "Remove Torrent," does the .torrent file remain, unless I also select the "And Delete Torrent File" option?

Re: Newer versions of deluge download much slower
It doesn't seem like it would hurt to have the option, as long as it defaults to 20.
Also, does this mean that the other settings, max connections, max upload slots, etc., don't matter so much, and the only real problem with the speed issue was the max connections per second setting?

Re: Newer versions of deluge download much slower
I tried the settings andar posted above on my Debian Testing system and so far so good. I seem to be able to max out my bandwidth now. Although I don't see any setting in the preferences window for "max connections per second." I take it this option has been removed from Deluge and it's ju...

Re: No Incoming connections??
I'm running 1.0.2 on a Debian Testing system and noticed in the status bar it says "No Incoming Connections!" But I'm downloading and uploading torrents fine. I didn't notice this on 0.5.9.3, which I just upgraded from. Should I be concerned about this?

Re: Newer versions of deluge download much slower
Seems to have done the job, thanks. The first 3 settings seem to need to be set in combination for the speed to increase (although i upped the number of connection to 300 and dropped max per second to 10 which seemed to give best results for me) Mindzai, how did you figure out which settings were b...

Re: Newer versions of deluge download much slower
I'm also having this problem with 1.0.0. Speeds are terrible. I tried the suggestion of limiting connections to 150 overall and 50 on invididual torrents. At first that seemed to solve the problem. But the next time I used Deluge the speeds went back to being terrible and I couldn't solve the proble...
