Actually I tried rebuilding version 1.0.7-r1. After I switched back to 1.1.5 using the commands you suggested and turned on daemon mode, things seem to work smoothly again. Thanks So maybe it was a bug in Deluge after all. In case anyone needs me to do any more testing, just tell.
