slow to check? -- ditch MS security essentials
Hi all, Had a bad hiccup on raid array, system went down. I run windows in a virtualbox (on top of linux). Checking torrents was tortuously slow. Running the 'free' version of avast antivirus and MS security essentials. WOW, the newest avast and MSSE are not friendly at all. Disabled security essent...

Re: Stuck "checking", like everyone else
Hi, I fixed problem in 1.20-rc5 (on gentoo) by installing libtorrent (net-libs/libtorrent-0.12.6) and then rebuilding deluge. The "pause, unmanage, resume" trick then worked on 50 torrents stuck as mentioned above. Hope that helps. Looks like more than a few binary packages are compiled &q...

Re: what info would help devs solve the checking issue?
built from svn per instructions: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Faq#HowdoIinstall1.1SVN no joy. 74 torrents stuck in 0.0% checking mode. It did check two torrents. I've restarted, and tried unmanaging, pausing, and restarting without any luck. Let me know what additional info I might provide to ...

auto periodic backup of torrents.state ?
Hey guys, I ran into previously mentioned checking issue (yes, even in 1.1.2) (gentoo linux, 2.6.27r7 kernel; your ebuild, all compiler optimization disabled) I tried the suggested steps: 1- un-automanage the torrent (went ok) 2- pause the torrent (did this with a select all; POOF program died ; res...

what info would help devs solve the checking issue?
Hey guys, Superb product, few niggles, but hey, it didn't take 30 years to come up with Vista :-) What info / proceedures / logs might be useful to solve or debug the checking issue. Even in 1.1.2, after a crash, some torrents are stuck in 'checking mode' I tried the suggested steps: 1- un-automanag...

Re: force-recheck not effective...
can't help ya, but this seems to look like a common thread.
I've got a ton of torrents stuck checking at 99.8x% or less (no kidding) that simply won't complete.
Any suggestions welcome.

Re: Checking is disappointing
I had deluge 1.1.1 crash and I'm stuck with 198 torrents at "0.0%" checking. Prior to that, I had to manually delete 25 torrents that were stuck in check (some would get to a percentage and stop). Definitely a show stopper. running 1.1.1 on gentoo. gcc (Gentoo 4.3.2 p1.1) 4.3.2 (let me kno...
