This seems to be the same phenomenon that I described in my other post.
However, I have an older version on the server (deluged) and a newer version on the client...

Re: Ubuntu PPA Package Failure
Hi all, is there any chance that there will be a version of deluged 1.2.0 for Ubuntu Hardy? Currently I'm running Hardy on my dedicated server and Jaunty on my laptop. I accidently upgraded deluge on my laptop and now I am unable to connect to deluged on my server via gtkui. And there doesn't seem t...

Re: 1.1.2 will not start
I just upgraded to 1.1.2 and had the same Problem. I used to start deluged via deluged -l deluged.log -L debug As I tried to check if deluged is running, ps could not find a process named deluged though there were fresh entries in the logfile. So I tried to start deluged a few times with same result...

Re: Deluge 1.10 on Debian Etch
If you have a closer look at the download page , then you'll see that there is no prebuilt package for Etch, which basically means, that there simply is no prebuilt package for your (to be honest: pretty old) linux distribution. If you really can't upgrade your OS to some recent version, I would rec...

Re: Fake client ID?
In 99% of that cases the problem is that the admin of the (AL) tracker is just not able to alter the sourcecode of the tracker software that they just downloaded somewhere and know **** about. Maybe they managed to alter the stylesheets but they won't be able to whitelist a different client. That's ...

How big was the torrent?
On possible explanation could be that the data has not been written to the harddisk and was kept in RAM at the time of the crash.

Re: Bind to Interface or IP
-you can disable remote connection in the options. That counts for deluged but not for deluge startet with web ui. Test it! -If you do port forwarding (that means your server does not have public ip) it works like you want to That situation is only existent behind some NAT device like a router. I'm...

Re: Howto: Using the GtkUi over a SSH tunnel
Hi yawie, yes, this is indeed one solution for securely accessing the web ui. However, if I remember correct, then the web ui natively supports (with some setup) connections over HTTPS which is basically the same as tunneling over SSH. But there is still the problem that the port for the web ui is p...

Re: Bind to Interface or IP
It would be pretty cool if the same would be possible for the web ui so that you can tell the web ui to bind e.g. only to localhost so you can use tunneling to access the web ui and not have the web ui exposed to the whole world.
Kind regards

Howto: Using the GtkUi over a SSH tunnel
If you want to use Deluge e.g. on a dedicated server but do not want to open up the administration port for the whole outside world, then this little guide is for you. Another benefit is, that the whole communication with the server (deluged) is encrypted. Set up Deluge as described in the Thin Clie...
