I agree with iMacKat. Used Azureus for a long time but each update made it more bloated and CPU hungry. I tried other clients but they all have problems. After another attempt with getting Deluge install and running I have different error. I get Deluge to install through the Terminal. I go to launch the Deluge in x11. I'm getting what looks to be the same error on this post

The story: After some time of trial and error I finally was able to compile and install Deluge in OSX 10.4.11. But now I don’t have a clue what’s going wrong. I launch Deluge from the X11 prompt; the main window and connection Manager come up. From this point on, nothing works. I cannot add torrents...
