Re: Port Issue

If you test the port is active in preferences, and get a green checkmark, then you are doing what you can. There are plugins such as ltConfig and your bandwidth and queue settings which can all affect your upload, but if no one is downloading what you are seeding fixing the port does not change tha...

Re: Port Issue

So I have my port forwarding working as reported by canyouseeme.org. but I'm not noticing an increase of uploading. Is it possible I have a setting in deluge that's negating the port forwarding or the increase in uploading?

Is there a VPN that offers port forwarding and can always use the same port, even when restarting the VPN?

Re: Port Issue

By the way, is it OK if a machine has two torrent clients running, both using the same port?

Re: Port Issue

Don't open more ports than needed. Despite as said if not listened on locally then not connectable anyways, but regardless. What do you mean specifically, a port-range VS single port(for deluge), or there is an option for just opening all regular service ports or something? Anyway, as said, VPN or ...

Re: Port Issue

I'm not really a network wizz honestly, and so if there need to be a rule in place for deluge to allow incoming traffic from VPN then I apologize for wrong information before, sorry. Edit: I checked my win10 VM, and indeed need allow deluge through firewall, despite merely through VPN connection in...

Re: Port Issue

Open ports only show open if actually have a listening socket attached to it, in addition to it being forwarded, as forwarding alone doesn't do that, so make sure that deluge is open, with correct port defined, and then run the test, through the VPN IP, as ambipro reiterated. That's exactly what I ...

Go to IPChicken.com or something and get your current IP address while using the VPN in your browser.
I used the VPN ip when using the port checker.

When I did that, port forwarding failed using the canyouseeme.org port tester. I turned them back on and the test passed. But the rules don't have the correct port number though.

Re: Port Issue

Put the port in incoming port, and leave outgoing as default unless having specific reason otherwise - never same atleast. I had Pia in older times, and they had a web api for scripting this process, so not have to change manually, don't know if still same and to lazy look up honestly, but food for...
