Re: Socks5 proxy in deluge

All of the clients' SOCKS support, and the vast majority of every other proxying daemon/server/whatever - like dante and proxifier, do not support incoming connections. I've said this twice now, and I will repeat it. You will not be connectable, you will not be seeding anywhere near what you're capa...

Re: [TUNING] ltConfig Settings and Explanations

Just to be clear, mhertz brought the default configs from libtorrent's library. He did not create the profiles previously added (low memory, high perf seed, default) - they are all just updated along the way as libtorrent changed things in their repository. I'm the first, and only, person as far as ...

Re: Socks5 proxy in deluge

As I said, SOCKS5 and the "Proxy" settings in Deluge will degrade your speeds, not improve them, particularly due to the lack of port forwarding (seeding). There are real VPN programs that will accomplish this on the newer protocols and enable you actually to use Deluge fully and at unimpe...

Re: Socks5 proxy in deluge

There is proxy support; however, port forwarding (which is needed for torrent seeding) is not traditionally supported by any SOCKS5 implementations I'm aware of, and it's definitely not supported by a SOCKS5 Proxy that you get online to replace a VPN. The ideal protocol for VPN-type protection is Wi...

Re: [TUNING] ltConfig Settings and Explanations

Yes, mhertz's updated high performance are there, mhertz handed over maintaining this plugin to me and I added mine, which are described above and much more in line with the sort of config you would expect to need with hardware similar to mine. I use deluge on a server with thin client, but this doe...

Re: Rename torrent

It is not a high-priority issue given that the thin client is the ideal way to interface remotely, but perhaps at some point.

Re: Rename torrent

You should look into using the thin-client, it provides a native deluge experience which far surpasses the webui's performance. I have a tutorial written you can look at that may help you with setting this up.

Re: Rename torrent

You say GUI, but are you in the WebUI or the actual Deluge client program itself?

If you simply single click in Deluge (the program, not the WebUI) it will allow you to rename it.

Re: Rename torrent

You will need to go to the files tab in the details at the bottom, and rename the main torrent's folder/file - there is no way to rename the torrent from the torrent list itself.

Re: Can't use proxy after upgrading from 1.3.x to 2.2

The proper way to "proxy" deluge is not using an http proxy but rather a VPN - such as hotio or binhex's containers, which support openvpn and wireguard. HTTP proxy in deluge's options will fail to seed as there wont be an ope port and things are going to essentially "seed" witho...
