Re: In your Opinion, what is the best Torrent Client and Why?

I very much wish it was Deluge. uTorrent/Mac is 32-bit and there is no indication they are going to develop a 64-bit version. The next version of macOS will only support 64-bit applications. And even if it comes about it would be full of all that makes current uTorrent suck. qBittorrent is sluggish ...

Re: Deluge 2.0 Beta 1

Thanks for all that, morbid. Now to get the beta to actually run. So far it's been a non starter. Just crashes when trying to start.

Re: Deluge 2.0 Beta 1

Why not use the beta? No tracker I am on allows it. I'd pay good money for an official version.

Thanks for the idea. Or should I say 'Du-uh!' Still very new to Deluge.

turn off auto manage

I have found this thread: https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30345&p=223903&hilit=auto+manage#p223903 Is there a CONF file in the Mac version? I have looked through the app's package contents but do not see anything like that. Any one know of a Mac solution to make the...

1500 torrents anyone?

I am wanting to switch to Deluge but am seeing the odd reference to having a large number of active torrents causing issues. I’d have close to 1,500. I am wondering how current such information really is, how dependent such performance might be on hardware. I have a 2.9 GHz i7, 16 GB RAM, and SSD. M...

Re: "Force seed" option instead of "Queue"

Great info. I'd have sworn I'd read all docs. And maybe I did but was simply blind to what I was reading. Whatever. I'm old enough to not give a flying fig as long as I get what I want.

I very much appreciate your taking the time to help me out.

"Force seed" option instead of "Queue"

I see no such option. It is either Resume or Pause. One tracker I am on requires users to seed "all the time". When a Deluge seed is Queued the tracker doesn't see it as seeding. In clients where it is ForceSeeded the tracker does see it.

Please tell me I am totally missing something.

Test Active Port warning icon

Yellow triangle with an exclamation point. Grrrr. Port is forwarded. Connections are allowed in LittleSnitch. Same OS install on another machine (different port, of course) port is fine. I am baffled. canyouseeme.org says: Error: I could not see your service on xx.xx.xx.xx on port (59012) Reason: Co...
