rebuild .torrent file from the media

After years of running a Deluge BitTorrent machine, my hard drive seems to have crashed. Power failures in the middle of one of those famous W10 updates. The media files are on a separate drive off-board from the machine. The hard drive had W10 and the Deluge torrent database on it. That's it, dedic...

Re: Win 10 - v1.3.11 - Not Seeding

What VPN service are you using. I use NordVPN and a recent update from them broke Deluge. If that could be it, let me know.

Re: Dow can I use deluge without my ISP threatening me?

I use the VPN provider NordVPN and I've had no DMCA letters. Here's why I like them: They're headquartered in Panama, have servers everywhere and keep no logs. The tech support is excellent. Questions answered and lots of help. How they maintain the speed with low friction is amazing. I just did a t...

Re: Move Storage question

Actually in my case just copying the files worked great. My system files are on an internal drive and my torrents were stored on an external W10 1tb drive. I added a 4tb external drive, another drive letter. While Deluge was running, I copied the torrent files to the new drive, it took a few hours. ...

"All torrents in error can be pointed to the new location and rechecked.". How do you point to a new location?

Re: nicer file move

I understand. I didn't know how much Deluge leans on an underlying code library. It's too bad that move_storage hasn't been improved. I could understand locking down the file(s) being moved but not everything.

Re: Move Storage question

Hi Shamael, what I want to achieve is replace the full 1tb drive with the new 4tb drive. What I'm thinking is that I will copy the 1tb drive over to the 4tb drive. Then stop everything, ensure that the windows drive letters are swapped over and restart deluge. Will that work?

Re: Changing File Location Issue

Be aware that "move storage" works but there's two issues. One is that the move is SLOW, 1gb will take an hour. The second is that all other actions will stop, no uploads and no downloads while the move is underway. I don't mind slow but stopping everything else is a killer.

Re: nicer file move

I've found this exact same thing, and you're right, everything else stops. And the move is very slow. 1gb will take hours. Definite fault with Deluge.

Move Storage question

I have a dedicated Deluge machine running a 1tb drive, but that filled up, so I added a 4tb drive. I would like Deluge to move some of the torrents to the new drive. That works fine (but slowly) but it seems that there are no active torrents while the move is underway. I always see several active to...
