Do you need to move them? I Centralized my files on my torrent box, seeding, and shared the folder with Kodi. It works like a charm If you do, the info from the torrent file are the one to be checked: add the torrent file in a paused state in Deluge move the file to the location mentioned in the tor...

As the user running deluge has the config in his profile, another solution is to use sudo
sudo -u $USER deluge-console

Take what best suits you ;)

Version? Daemon and windows client need to be on the same page (1.3.X or 2.X)
Is the remote access configured on the daemon, with a proper user? (see support section for how to)

Hi,

I don't use this OS but it's based on Debian it seems. On my Debian I use the Ubuntu PPA matching my Debian version to install Deluge, never done it from the Debian Repo. See https://launchpad.net/~deluge-team/+arc ... ntu/stable for the address to use

Well enabling the log (check the support section) will tell us a bit more. What about the storage of the torrent, internal or USB (or else)?

Hi,

what about the permission? Are you sur Deluge is able to write the folder? Make a try not directly at the root of the hard drive but well on a first folder where you give it full permission

Running application with a dedicated user/group and deny logon for this user is something I use to do on my system. It's an isolation concept that worth only if you apply it to all the system you're running on, not for a single shot. You can run it with the user/group Pi of course and many take this...
