Re: Torrent speed on RPi 3 (Deluge, Transmission...)

Hi, I'm using an RPI3 with Deluge and it works pretty well considering the HW. Having the d/l speed dropping is most of the time due to: - considering an USB disk connected to receive the torrent, it must be in ext to avoid CPU wait time overhead - the Deluge cache should not be set too hign, up to ...

Re: Deluge settings, secrets, whatever.

The are settings yes but we always speak about personal customization. A good start is to install the plugin ltconfig and enable the performance profile. Do not aplly blindly all the proposed settings, you need to match them with you hardware.

Re: Permission denied on Raspberry Pi and external HDD

You seems to have no right for the user "pi" on this drive except execute. The chmod 777 is possible but needs to be done recursively (-R)and with sudo. It all depends about what you want to do but guessing you want to use the disk for Deluge and be able to read its content with the user p...

Re: Permission denied on Raspberry Pi and external HDD

Hi,

Mount your drive, try to write with your logon user on the disk (a new folder on the root for example)
Do the same with the user of the service (sudo -u $your_user).What's the result?

Re: Deluge can't connect to trackers

@renzomarcus If not possible to find it you can compile it maybe? What I can tell is sticking with the version mentioned gives me no issue for all the features I use (check below too) #Shryp very possible some version are better than others and it may be an easier step to try. I often read speed lim...

Re: Deluge can't connect to trackers

The libtorrent 1.0.11 version is quiet old and most of the distrib update it already to 1.1.X. This is not a supported combo so far I know, many topics point issue or mismatch (I frozen the libtorrent packet to avoid issue). It works but with speed limit not working for example, reason why I mention...

Re: Deluge Encryption Setting confusion?

Yes. Check my first post about the meaning of the encryption in Deluge. VPN and Deluge both use the word encryption but the meaning is not related in any way regarding the covered area.

Re: Deluge Encryption Setting confusion?

No you cannot. The VPN tunnel shows to the world the VPN IP in use and there is no way to go through it to find yours. There is no need to encrypt Deluge as fist it's a very weak encryption and second anyone able to see the traffic is not able to find you.
(Think about forcing DNS through the VPN)
