Re: Deluge Web UI / dedicated server

Hi Brandit, So basically it works but the speed is too low. It depends of course of the number of peers and how rare the torrent is. If you seed torrents with thousands of seeders the speed will always be slow. I often test the setup with an Ubuntu/mint distribution available via Bittorrent (check o...

Re: Speeding up performance with >500 torrents

Well if you have the R710....Debian/Ubuntu (ESXi free first?) and Deluge+ltconfig plugin. Select the high performance profile and you're good to go :). Review the memory settings etc from this profile, you may have to customize it a bit That said and even if this will give you of course a better per...

Re: Deluge 1.3.15 caching DNS?

I guess this disable completely the DNS cache at the OS level. It solves the issue but slower the system with higher DNS queries. So it's up to you ;). The hostfile has precedence on DNS (cache or not) so at the end you will get the right address. Maybe reducing the DNS cache expiry time (time of th...

Re: Deluge 1.3.15 caching DNS?

The application does not cache DNS addresses but the underlying OS may. However the hosts file entries take precedence over the DNS (there are priorities when talking about the DNS resolution). The case described links more to a non-resolution: if the application already requested the resolution of ...

Re: Deluge not oppening after Windows update

BotH AV and windows firewall are able to provide logs if anything is blocked. However it may be easier to temporary disabling the AV (most of them have an option to do it for 10min) and to enable logging on your firewall https://www.howtogeek.com/220204/how-to-track-firewall-activity-with-the-window...

Re: Always Seeing Tracker Errors and No Seeders

First read the rules of your VPN provider about port forwarding to check if anything has changed. You can always check if one of your incoming port are reachable from outside with a tool like https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ If the port is closed then something is wrong in your network...

Re: Always Seeing Tracker Errors and No Seeders

So all the message you have are related to the communication with the tracker. So not the peers operating directly with you and some others (peering). The tracker status: - time out: query time-out, so no answer from the server it seems - cancelled: the server drop the connection Some tracker are mo...

Re: Always Seeing Tracker Errors and No Seeders

The solution provided helps with multiple trackers cycling and advertising them all. It doesn't solve a tracker issue that needs to be deal separately.
(remove the wrong tracker of check for help on the forum if existing).
