Re: Tried to install YaRSS2, crashed Deluge and won't start

https://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/3309 perhaps?

Although not sure why my python adventures would've triggered it. The same torrent list was working fine before, same Deluge version.

Re: Tried to install YaRSS2, crashed Deluge and won't start

...I spoke too soon. So Deluge does launch, and I see my previous in-progress torrents. However, uploading/downloading doesn't actually start happening for anything. Some UI elements are actually broken, and if I try clicking on anything, Deluge immediately crashes. Looking at the output, immediatel...

Re: Tried to install YaRSS2, crashed Deluge and won't start

Nevermind, I'm an idiot.

Didn't realize 20.04 came with python 3.8. O_O
So I royally broke things.
Luckily once I realized the problem, I was able to fix it on my own.
Deluge is running again!

Tried to install YaRSS2, crashed Deluge and won't start

Xubuntu 20.04 Deluge 2.0.3 Python 3.7.7 (now) So Deluge had been fine. I wanted to experiment with RSS subscriptions, so did some research and learned I needed YaRSS2. Which needed Python 3, which apparently I didn't have for some reason. So I installed it. Now python3 --version reports 3.7.7. Great...

Re: Haven't used it in a while, now segfault on startup

Still having this problem. I tried creating a new ~/.config/deluge/ folder, and only copied over my *.conf files. After this, Deluge would launch and stay open and not crash. However, as soon as I add a torrent, Deluge crashes and proceeds to immediately crash on startup until I clear the ~/.config/...

Re: Haven't used it in a while, now segfault on startup

I posted a similar problem weeks ago, the way I got my daemon up and working again was to run the command "mv ~/.config/deluge/session.state ~/.config/deluge/session.state.old" and then start up deluged. Basically it forces deluged to create a new session.state file and that file seems to...

Haven't used it in a while, now segfault on startup

So I haven't used Deluge for many weeks as my NAS was down so there was no point downloading anything. Over that time my system (Xubuntu) has gone through assorted natural updates including to 19.10 eoan. I got my NAS repaired tonight and went to start Deluge but now it's segfaulting on startup. I b...

Re: Setup for email notifications

Holy crap, how is this still a thing over a year later? This bug is ridiculous and virtually renders this feature useless, especially in 2016 where virtually all email requires TLS. The fact that this bug, along with the corresponding bug of not being able to single-click on the arrows to advance on...
