Re: Deluge requested shutdown
OK, I converted to running DelugeD as recommended, Deluge still crashes occasionally. Today a new version of deluge was released and I installed it. Now Deluge crashes just about every hour. Where are the developers? How can something like this just be accepted? I'd be bloody embarrassed if I were o...

Re: noob stumped - thin client
Shryp: Many thanks. I had that feeling that what I was doing was just excessive and that I'd gotten off down the wrong path. I'm not really a computer noob, but those instructions that I WAS following were certainly not the easiest to follow.
Thanks again, I'm off to try it your way.

Re: Deluge requested shutdown
Shryp: Does that mean if I leave it alone running in the taskbar, it should be relatively 'fine'. Since it seems to 'last' about a day right now, maybe I should just schedule it to re-cycle overnight at some point.

noob stumped - thin client
Hi, I've been running Deluge (non-daemon) for a while and it crashes/stops about once a day. A forum poster indicated I should be running the daemon version with a thin client. It would be nice if the developers simply fixed the crash/stopping problem, but that seems a faint hope. I've tried setting...

Re: Deluge requested shutdown
No further activity here. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? Deluge terminates like this basically every day, usually overnight. Do the developers monitor this forum? Any comment/suggestion from that side? I'm seriously considering dumping Deluge for an alternate if it continues being so u...

Re: Deluge requested shutdown
I saw the deluged.log, but it was two days old, back when I experimented with running deluged.exe rather than deluge.exe. I deleted it, and I've had two more crashes since then and there is no deluge.log file, (nor ANY .log files) I don't leave it running as a window, I normally close it down to sit...

Re: Deluge requested shutdown
A) I haven't touched libtorrent, I just ran the standard Windows installer for Deluge.
B) Found the \AppData\Roaming\Deluge folder, lots of files, but nothing named .log in there. What is it called?
This really shouldn't be this hard to find, there should be a View menu option.

Re: Deluge requested shutdown
No, it is not run as admin. Nothing indicated that I should, and it seems to run OK in every other way except for these random (seemingly) shutdowns. As to logs, there are no menu options to display a log, and browsing around, I couldn't find any log files. Where does Deluge hide them? And moreover,...

Deluge requested shutdown
Hi, I've just installed Deluge, and two days in a row now, when I check my system in the morning, there's a pop-up which contains a reference to .Net services and reads something like (I didn't write this down, sorry) -- "The application has requested a shutdown", contact the support staff...
