Help me understand seed rank
I'm lost. I have cleared up my earlier confusion between the meaning of "Share Ratio Limit" and "Stop seeding when share ratio reaches", and have read the FAQ: Seeding torrents have no queue position! Why? ¶ Seeds use something called "seed rank" to determine which shou...

Re: Placing a higher priority on seeds than downloads in 1.1.6
Sadly still not what I'm hoping for. I seem to be describing it poorly; perhaps this: Consider this situation - I set up with 2 max downloads 10 max seeds 10 max total. I download 10 torrents, and all 10 start seeding. I then add an 11th torrent. Under 1.1.6, the new torrent starts downloading and o...

Re: Placing a higher priority on seeds than downloads in 1.1.6
Thanks for the tip, Loki. While it does improve my situation, it isn't the behaviour I'm looking for. What I want is the behaviour from 5.5.x - I want a given torrent to hold it's active place from the time it starts downloading until it stops seeding. I don't want other seeding torrents or other do...

Placing a higher priority on seeds than downloads in 1.1.6
I am a recent Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope upgrader who picked up 1.1.6 with that upgrade, as so many of us did. From other forum posts, it would seem that I am fortunate, since 1.1.6 worked straightaway, losing only my ratio data. But there is one change from the 5.5.x version I had with Intrepid Ibex. ...

Re: Can I make seeds take priority over downloads?
Thanks for your complete and quick reply; for now, I'm adding new torrents in paused mode and resuming them when current seeds finish.
I would like to request the option you mentioned in a future release. It would be most helpful to those of us who frequent ratio limited trackers.

Can I make seeds take priority over downloads?
Greetings. I'm having trouble making Deluge 1.0.3 behave the way I had set up my 0.5 installations - what I want is for my completed downloads to seed to the limit, occupying a queue slot and preventing the start of more downloads until they have seeded completely. This FAQ entry is relevant: http:/...

Re: Cannot upgrade from 0.5.6.25
Markybob got it in one; I forgot about the time I upgraded from SVN. I've got to stop doing late-night fixes.
I uninstalled both and installed 5.8 from the .deb; working now, and really is 5.8. Move Torrent still isn't working, but I'll post that separately.
Thanks for the solution and for Deluge!

Thanks for your reply.
No change using aptitude - same result as removing with Synaptic.

Cannot upgrade from 0.5.6.25
Incredibly frustrating. I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 and Deluge 0.5.6.25. Today, Deluge ceased to download or upload - it did not crash and responds to controls, but can't send or receive. I'd been meaning to upgrade anyway, so I downloaded the packages: deluge-torrent_0.5.7.1-1_i386.gutsy.deb deluge-tor...
