Re: Connection Manager problem

I turned on classic mode and deluge seems to be working (haven't tried to download anything yet.) I never used classic mode before and the daemon just worked. Now, deluged is not installed. When I tried installing it (in deluge-core), apt uninstalled all the rest of deluge (the gui, etc.). Please ex...

Re: Connection Manager problem

OK. I think it used to do that by itself. So, how do I start the daemon and configure it?

Thanks.

Connection Manager problem

I was using deluge for quite awhile and like it a lot. Some time ago after some upgrades, every time I'd start deluge, the connection manager would pop up and show one entry with a red X in front of it and and with connect grayed out. How do I fix this? What does the connection manager need? I am cu...

Creating Torrents

I've never created a torrent and I'd like to.

I don't see anything in the FAQ about it.

I found File->Create Torrent, but I don't have any idea what to do on the Tracker and Webseed tabs.

Can someone explain this?

Thanks.

Re: No Incoming Connections

I had the same problem as Creeping Death. When I set my port range to just one port, it was never selected by deluge and I'm sure that port wasn't being used for anything else, so there may be an issue in deluge. I did set the port range to port - 1 to port and it selected port - 1. I then went back...

Re: No Incoming Connections

A known Linux distro is not a valid test if it is a popular one. It will have many seeders that your bitTorrent client (deluge) will discover directly through the Peer Exchange ("outgoing"). It will test that the client and your Internet connection are both working fine, but will run very ...

No Incoming Connections

I'm using deluge 1.1.5 on kubuntu hardy (x86) and I can't get port forwarding to work. I have a Westel 327W modem/wireless router (Verizon DSL). I also run the transmission BitTorrent client and it works with port forwarding using port 51413 with the Use UPnP or NAT-PMP checkbox selected. When I get...

Re: Problem with deluge repo

I just did an uninstall/install of deluge (from adept) making sure the deluge-torrent packages were all uninstalled. Now it works again and reports as 1.1.3.

Problem with deluge repo

I just attempted to upgrade deluge from the kubuntu hardy repo from the previous version to the current version using the adept notifier. It failed, so I reran it from the command line and got the messages below. Any ideas on how to fix this? TIA Joe snip from /etc/apt/sources.list # Deluge deb http...

UI humor

Whoever designed the UI for the torrents must have had a good sense of humor.
I just had a particularly slow torrent give me an ETA > 27 years, LOL.
(It did speed up a bit later.)
