Re: new new plugin architecture suggestion
Cool! I'm the one that did the initial plugins-are-modules conversion, but I agree it needs a cleaner architecture and API. The hooks you propose look good. One issue with the current api is that that the core needs to explicitly check whether a hook exists before calling it. One method I've used in...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
Update: Markybob noticed that the pulse action was taking up a fair amount of time and tried disabling it, which seems to speed things up considerably. There is still a visual update in the form of a "number imported" count so this seems like a pretty good resolution.

Re: IP blocklist support patch
It would be nicer, lot better if it said something like :- At some point I'll add something to the status bar at the bottom. Couple of other things/observations , Just to know I saw the blocklist.cache ... Apparently it just shows the .gz file & not the extracted file. The file by default is th...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
Looking forward to it while hopefully you can do also something about the the importing thing happening each time. It is going to be a nuisance rather than an asset for users if its going to take 20-30 mins. each time (showing importing) if it did the thing the first time around. But unless we have...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
I'm not sure what's happening here, but I'm working on a patch that has better error handling, which should help debug this.shirish wrote:Ok I made clean, built deluge from scratch, built release r733 (which uses emule .gz) so downloaded a filter file to see. This is what is being shown on the CLI

Re: IP blocklist support patch
I did not point to anything. What I simply did was select the blocklist importer & did not give any url and cancelled the downloading . Even then the blocklist importer tried to import stuff. Well, obviously that's not going to work. However one of the things I have to do is improve the error h...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
Please look at this post http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/370 which says the importance of having the blocklist importer. That doesn't appear to have anything to do with blocklists? Also where is this blocklist.cache situated? In the config directory, but you shouldn't really need to access it ...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
question: i cant get it to load my local blocklist file, so im wondering is it enough to copy my blocklist to blocklist.cache (if formatted properly) and it will block the content? i mean, is there a blocklist blocker that works independently of the blocklist LOADER ? ill try to rephrase it. the lo...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
Shouldn't be too hard. I probably won't get around to it until the weekend however. Tarka, also, it's pretty annoying to have the "importing" dialog pop up every time you load the plugin or start deluge with it loaded (which is probably every time if you're using this plugin). it should o...

Re: IP blocklist support patch
BTW, can you msg me your blocklist sources, I'm gathering data. i'd like to put in a vote for emule-style ip lists, such as this one: http://www.bluetack.info/temp/nipfilter.dat.gz thanks again for this great plugin Shouldn't be too hard. I probably won't get around to it until the weekend however.
