Deluge resets proxy settings after Deluge restarts

Post by Eclectus »

Hello,

I'm trying to set Deluge to use a private proxy server with authentication. I enter the type socks5 with auth, the host, port and credentials in the gtk settings tab "proxy" in all fields (peer, web-seed, tracker, dht) click ok and close Deluge. When I restart Deluge and enter the settings tab "proxy" again my settings are all reset to using no proxy and some default port 8080. As long as I don't restart Deluge the changes to the settings remain in the "proxy" tab.

I use Xubuntu 12.04, deluge 1.3.6-0 (from ppa), libtorrent-rasterbar6 0.15.10-1

Does anyone know how I can make my settings stick?

kind regards

Edit: After further testing I discovered that Deluge resets all settings after I restart Deluge (network options, download folders, the whole lot). Also I think I have found the cause of the misbehavior. My authentication password was apparently too nasty for Deluge. After I set it to something overly simple, the problem didn't occur again.
The password that I used (notice the d) contained among other, friendlier characters, these characters: ?!}+"
