inactive options in WebUI

Post by oZiRiz »

Hello,

i'm using Deluge WebUI 1.2.0-rc3 on Ubuntu-Server 9.04. The new Interface is great, but in the Options Screen there are many disabled Options (eg "move completed to" or "autoadd *.torrent files from").
Is this because of the RC/Alpha Status or is something wrong with my setup? I can't find any hint in the forum or the FAQ.

please Help..

Thanks

I have the same question, why are those options disabled and how do I set them?

Issues still exist in RC4. I can't even set many of the options under individual torrents either. It's like the webui isn't even communicating back with the daemon, just showing what's currently set.

Well, the bigger problem is that even when these disabled options are redefined manually in the config file, ALL those options are being overridden back to the default ones ('/home/deluge' - or whatever 'home' directory is for your running instance) EVERY SINGLE TIME the daemon is getting restarted... Some clarification would definitely help - whether that's a perm thing (smth that daemon would not be able to handle) or just a temp setback.

Other than that, the 'redesigned' deluge looks really neat - will strongly consider moving back to it from Transmission once these issues are dealt with. Thanks for all the work, deluge guys!

The reason you see that is because it writes the current in memory config to file when it shutsdown. Just kill the app, make sure it's not running, and then edit the file. When you bring it back up your settings should take effect.

This is now fixed in subversion and will be in the next rc/final. Sorry for the inconvenience!
