I have tried (very superficially to say the truth) the first version that andar posted (with GTK installed). Everything seems to work fine, also the preference window. The only thing I noticed is that every time that deluge.exe is launched it doesn't check, as in previous version, if an other istance of deluge.exe is already running, I mean if I try to launch it several times no new windows are created but every time a new deluge.exe and deluged.exe processes are started (this is a problem if you try to open a .torrent file double clicking on it or to start a download from firefox with deluge already running).

I know this is a fairly stupid question, but... Where do you extract the files to get one of these new builds to work, given that the earlier (w/ installer) build is set up on the system? I know I'm not gonna be able to go with my old old core.conf forever.

Running deluge-1.1.3-2 standalone.

deluge.exe

The procedure entry _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.

deluge.log

[ERROR ] 20:40:34 ui:65 Unable to find the requested UI: gtk. Please select a different UI with the '-u' option or alternatively use the '-s' option to select a different default UI.

It looks like it works, I just extracted the zip put it in any ol location, started up just fine!

Couple of questions though if it wasn't apparent already... does it still require all the dependencies to be installed following the directions from http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Installing/Windows ?
(next step I guess will be to uninstall them see if it still works, would be nice to finally cut down the installed size)
And, is there still a webUI and how to access or run it?

Apparently the old WebUI still works from the 1.1.0 installation, is that odd...

Loki,

Does that mean that I need to reinstall Deluge 1.1.0 before Deluge 1.1.3 will work?

I normally remove the previous editions, before upgrading.

I will try again tonight.

Reinstalling Deluge 1.1.0 did nothing for me, except get my old great client working again. Unfortunately, that is not Deluge 1.1.3.

I have no idea why the upgrade is working for some, but not for me.

Maybe true, when I ran 1.1.3 I still had my old 1.1.0 installed and intact as well as the dependencies still installed.

I just extracted the zip to my user downloads folder and it ran from there.

Tonight I'm going to try uninstalling those dependencies probably while the 1.1.3 is still running, just in case it may be using a file in there it should warn me that it is currently being used. I guess I still need the webUI from 1.1.0 though so I'm keeping that around for the time being.

I uploaded a new build: http://deluge-torrent.org/deluge-1.1.3-3.zip

This one is a bit larger due to adding GTK locale information (for translating default gtk strings, etc).

I think I've fixed the issue with not being able to add torrents externally (from another deluge instance). I've also built this one with XP to hopefully have better compatibility.

Please test!

Thanks
