merging with a partially downloaded file

I was downloading a torrent with 24 files in it , then it stopped when almost all files were half downloaded.
I was able to find each individual file and started to download them separately. it would be really nice to
use half downloaded versions and just downloading the rest (merging a torrent with a file on the disk).

If it is actually the same file that you partially downloaded, you can just tell deluge to save to the same folder and it will automatically resume from where it left off.
