Server and client relations? How to improve my setup?

I have deluge running on two different machines.
Machine A runs server and client. Machine B has a client(though it has a client installed, too), which connects to the server on machine A. I have configured some scripts to run on machine A on torrent added, torrent downloaded, etc. These scripts execute fine when the torrent is added via the client on machine A.
When I add the torrent via the client on machine B, the torrent will download and so on, but the scripts will not execute. Do I have to configure the scripts via client B, too, or i am doing something wrong.
All scripts are sh scripts, which trigger at download complete. All machines are Ubuntu 11.10.
What I want:
No matter which client I use, I want the execute scripts to run. Now I have to use vnc to add the torrent to client A

This is strange. It seems the system works exactly this way, I just had to wait. Or kill the client on machine B?
