Deluge not responding

I have a strange problem, which started a few weeks ago after an update was installed, where Deluge responds very slowly or usually stops responding altogether and has to be killed. It sometimes starts responding again after multiple restarts. In frustration I installed uTorrent, and found that when I started uTorrent, Deluge starts responding, and keeps working normally even if I shut down uTorrent.

I guess I'm the only one with this problem then. Oh well, it's back to uTorrent then.
