power save disabled in xp?

utorrent was making my computer not go into power save mode (monitors wouldn't auto-turn-off in windows xp)

now deluge seems to be doing it, but i don't see the corresponding option that fixed it for utorrent ("disable suspend when there are active torrents")

i searched the board but didn't find much.. any ideas?

Deluge doesn't explicitly disable power save mode.
However both standy by and hibernate cut power to the hard drive, so it's possible that deluge is preventing power save, purely because it's writing to disk.
