[feature request] labels
I'd love to see torrent labels like in uTorrent. Right-click to add a label to a torrent, or do so upon download of the .torrent file, and then a pane on the left side with the various labels so you can click them and only view torrents for a particular label. Useful if you routinely have a ton of torrents seeding, etc.

it would be a nice feature

Right, I would have more stuff seeding if I didn't have to see it all the time. Would be a good addition.
Re: [feature request] labels
This is in 0.6.

Re: [feature request] labels
Awesome! Can't hardly wait for the 0.6 stable... I started using the "Category" feature in Azureus shortly before deciding to ditch that client in favor of something lighter. Funny, I want a "light" torrent client but seem to be a feature freak sometimes. LOL. But seriously, something along these lines is going to come in very handy for people who are on private trackers. The categories / labels should make it easier to manage groups of torrents based on label; not being specifically tied to 'tracker' labels of course.
Some ideas / questions:
Will the labels act like a sort of tag system? In other words could I "label" a torrent as "Tracker A" and also tag it with additional lables, such as "Music", "eBook", or even "My Torrent" and have the main torrent view window filter based on one or more labels?
I guess what I'm really looking for is a way to manage torrents better; I want to be able to manage / view them according to tracker. This could just as easily be done by sorting / filtering based on the actual tracker(s) in the torrent just as well as with labels. Beyond just a simple way to view "Tracker A" torrents vs "Tracker B" torrents, there are other things special to me. For instance, I want to be able to easily keep track (view/filter) the torrents that are my ups, versus my snatches. Having the labels be like a tag system (multiple labels per torrent) seems the most flexible and should cover my usage as well as other people's creative ideas.
Eventually I am also waiting on the daemonized Deluge so that I can run Deluge on my home server and allow WebUI access for all the members of my household. I would imagine that when this feature appears in 0.6 that it will still be of the "single user" mind-set. If I am wrong and the "multiple users accessing single torrent engine" concept is implemented then I will jump for joy, as I'd really, really love to have only one torrent client to manage, giving it the full bandwidth allotment, and having all of us in the house use that central "torrent-client server" to manage their downloads.
As it stands, we each have our own clients running on our desktops, and I have to go around tweaking each one's parameters to use a fraction of our available bandwidth for torrents so we don't clobber each other or the network. Problems in this scenario are that nobody gets to take full advantage of the household bandwidth without manual intervention. I have more thoughts on this but perhaps it is Off Topic for this thread; we're talking labels here...
So, I can see the labels feature, especially if it works with multiple labels per torrent, helping with this. I could tag (label) torrents that are mine with my name, my brother could tag/label his with his name, and our roommate could do the same. Then we could each just filter our view to our own torrents when managing them.
You can guess I'm really pushing / hoping for a tag-like label system (multiple labels per torrent) as the most functional implementation.
Oh, and dev's.... THANKS! So far I am pretty happy with Deluge, good work!
