You can change the theme yourself I think there was a topic where I explain what is required.

Should it have to be something that the user has to dig through ancient forum posts to find out about? Can't it just work by default?

Hello Cas! Pardon me but I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to look for? Mimicking the native Windows UI involves - as you stated in http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... =8&t=52079 - a lot more than simple theming (ie. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/189 ... ts-qt-fltk).

That topic as far as I am aware is referring to changing the layout of Deluge, not simply the theme.

That stackoverflow answer has already told you that theming is the answer. In my post here: http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... me#p184823 I explain the details of Deluge changes to the GTK theme and then link to another thread with more information http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtop ... =8&t=43637 which refers to https://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Using% ... _gtk_theme.

With all that information the result is this quote from the Pidgin page modified for Deluge:
Download the GTK+ Themesand GTK+ Theme Switcher zip files and extract them to a temporary directory.

Copy the lib and share directories from the GTK+ Themes zip file into your <Deluge Installation Directory> (you want to merge those with the existing lib and share directories). Copy the gtk2_prefs.exe from the GTK Theme Switcher zip file into your <Deluge Installation Directory>.

You can now run the gtk2_prefs.exe applications to choose a theme. You probably will want to use the "Apply for all users" checkbox so that the changes are made to Deluge's private GTK+ runtime.

Note: If you had previously set up a user-specific GTK+ theme with the global GTK+ Runtime, you will need to delete or rename the %USERPROFILE%/.gtkrc-2.0 file in order to have your changes take effect.

This seems like a lot of hassle for someone who just wants Deluge to look decent on Windows.

Is there any way the Windows installation itself could take care of all this? I would gladly donate via Patreon or bitcoins to make it happen.

Thanks!
