confusion on "Thin Client"

Post by zqslzwzw »

Hey, I intend to use deluge on a seedbox (debian 8.1) and want to access it from remote computer via web, is "Thin Client" applicable for this?

User's guide reads:
http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/User ... alUIClient
Deluge can be setup in such a way that a Deluge daemon, deluged, can be setup on a central computer, server, which can then be accessed and controlled by other computers, clients, using one of Deluge's UIs.
The Deluge daemon deluged and deluge-console should be installed on the server.
I have install deluged and deluge-web, but it has some problems. So I am wondering whether deluge-console should be the key. And somebody indeed install deluge-console with deluged:

hi,

Deluge has 3 possible way to be accessed:
-deluge-console, may be installed on your Debian server. Command line management on the Debian console or via SSH (I use it to debug remote access)
-Webui, remote access through browser and you installed the binary deluge-web already
-GTKUI, the thinclient: my main interface to access the deluged service remotely. Much more customization (plugin, etc etc) and comfortable for me. With the classic mode checked it's a standalone torrent client, unchecking the "classic mode" option enable the remote access to deluged daemon running on you Debian box (a connection manager will appear at startup)

You only need one of them, but all can be used simultaneously.
